Two Versions

MS Office 2021 will be available in two versions: Home and Student 2021 will retail for $149.99 and Home and Business 2021 will retail at $249.99. The Home and Student 2021 versions will include Word, Excel PowerPoint, OneNote and Microsoft Teams. They are available for Mac and PC. Home and Business 2021 includes all the features of Student 2021, and you can use Office to run your business.

Improved and New Features

MS Office 2021 will include some of the same collaboration features that are available in the subscription-based Microsoft 365 edition, including real-time coauthoring, OneDrive support and integration with Microsoft Teams.

The ribbon at the top of the UI will also change. To match the aesthetic improvements to Windows 11, the corners have been rounded. A neutral color palette was also introduced.

Excel New Features

Excel has a few new features that can be very helpful for those who are not familiar with Excel.

  • Using the XLOOKUP function, it is quick and easy for you to find data in any table or range within any spreadsheet.
  • Dynamic array support refers to the use dynamic arrays (values within formulas of varying sizes)
  • The LET function lets you assign names to any calculated outcome.
  • The XMATCH function allows you to search for specific items within an array of cells or ranges of cells and returns their relative positions.
  • Version 1.3 supports the ODF (OpenDocument), a popular alternative document format.
  • The Draw Tab has been upgraded
  • Diverse performance improvements

New Powerpoint Features

PowerPoint also has a variety of new features to improve its functionality. Here are the new features in PowerPoint

  • Record slideshows with the new Record Slide Show option. This feature allows presenter video and ink recording.
  • PowerPoint allows you to replay the drawing process and allow you to repay ink strokes.
  • Ability to arrange elements in slides so that they are optimized for screen readers.
  • OpenDocument (ODF), a popular alternative format, is supported in its 1.3 version.
  • Also, the Draw tab has been updated.

Word has some updates, but not as many as PowerPoint and Excel. These are the new features in Word:
