What Is Microsoft Windows 365 Cloud Service And How Can I Use It? - www.office.com/setup

Windows 365 Cloud – Microsoft introduced Windows 365 Cloud. This service allows businesses to provide cloud access for their employees to a Windows 10 desktop. Windows 11 will follow shortly. Think about game streaming on your computer. It will be made available to business customers on August 2, 2021 (and only business users). office.com/setup

Windows 365, long anticipated, is essentially an extension for existing remote desktop service. As announced in a somewhat cryptic statement by the press, Windows 365 has been long in anticipation.

However, Microsoft does provide Azure Virtual Desktop that allows remote access for employees to a Windows PC in a cloud environment. Although Windows 365 does require setting up a complete Azure Virtual Desktop environment, it is much more user-friendly than Windows 365.

Microsoft has also been given the opportunity to discuss "a new hybrid personal computing category", Satya Nadella, Microsoft's CEO, calling a "Cloud PC".

The company says that SaaS has taken applications to cloud computing, and now they are bringing the operating system to cloud computing. This will give businesses greater flexibility and provide a secure way for employees to work remotely.

Windows 365 is available in two editions, Business and Enterprise. Azure Virtual Desktop lets you set up individual cloud PCs using just one CPU and 2GB of RAM. There is 64GB of storage at the low end and eight CPUs and 32GB RAM. On the high end, there are 512GB and 512GB. Microsoft will offer 12 configurations for Windows 365 Business Enterprise. Additionally, organizations can expand their computing capacity.

Cloud PCs will allow businesses to quickly create and assign them to their employees. This could appeal to remote workers and temporary contract workers who need secure access. The cloud means that employees do not have to manage VPNs and don't have security concerns about their personal devices.

Microsoft has been working hard on Windows 365 for many years. It appears that it is finally arriving at the right moment for companies looking to address remote work issues. Microsoft's operating systems team had been working on "Arcadia," a cloud-based streaming video game service.

Windows 365 is not available for businesses at the moment, but it's easy enough to see a future where Microsoft could offer people more powerful PC computing via a browser.
