How Do You Fix Windows 10 Location Is Not Available?

When the people boot up their computer, people usually face the error “Location is Not Available”. This error usually occurs when the user upgraded to the newer version of Windows. Resolve Location is Not Available Window 10 Error:

  • Access Safe Mode with Networking:

For this, you have to reboot Windows so that you can see the login screen. After this, you have to hold Shift key in your keyboard and then click on the Power button. Again holding Shift Key, you have to press Restart option. When PC restarts, you have to select Advanced Settings and then click on Startup Settings and then select Restart. Now in Startup settings, you have to press F5 to access Safe Mode with Networking.

  • Reset user permissions:

First you have to type in cmd in Windows search and then right-click on Command Prompt and then you have to select Run as administrator. Once the Command Prompt Window opens, type the commands, and press Enter after each command:

cd/users

cd/ [your username here without brackets]

icacls Documents/reset/t/q

  • Run the disk check on Command Prompt:

First open Command Prompt as Administrator. Then you have to type the command and press Enter after the command.

chkdsk c: /f /r /x

When you error message, you have to type in Y and press Enter. At last, reboot your device.

  • Give the problematic folder full control:

 First you have to go to the problematic folder and then right-click and just select Properties. After this, go to the Security tab. Now find your username from the list and just select and pressing it once. Here you have to press Edit option. Now under Permissions, you have to enable Full control. Then, you have to click on OK button.

  • Take ownership of the problematic folder:

Just open the Properties of the problematic folder and then go to Security tab. Now at the bottom of the window, you have to press Advanced option. Here under Owner, you have to click on Change option. Then you have to type your username and then hit on Check Names. After this, just select your username and hit on OK button. Now you have tick mark the Replace all child object permission entries with inheritable permission entries from this object. At the end, click on Apply and Ok button.

  • Use System Restore:

 First just type Create a Restore Point in Windows search and press Enter key. Then you have to go to System Protection tab. Now you have to select System Restore and then tap on Next option. After this, you have to tick mark the Show more restore points. Now you have to select the restore point and then just click on Next option.
