Skype is the telecommunication application of Microsoft. Through this you can do video chats and voice calls and it also provide you instant messaging services. Solution To Fix “Unable to Join Skype Meeting”:

  • Troubleshoot Network Connectivity:

To solve this issue, you should run the network troubleshooter. For this, first you have to enable Internet/Wi-Fi connection. Then you have to go to your computer and just open the Start Menu. After this, you should click on Settings option. And then you have to select Network & Internet. Now, you should click on Status. Here, in the Find a setting search field, you have to type Network troubleshooter and just click on it. And follow the instructions to complete the process. After completing this process, you have to check if the network issue is resolved or not. If is not solved then move to the next step.

  • Use Credential Manager:

You should update your Skype login details by using Credential Manager. For this, you have to open Control Panel option. Then you have to find and then click on Credential Manager. You just have to find the batch of credentials linked with the Skype. Now you have to click on it to expand the options. After this, you have to select Remove from Vault. Then you should close program. And now log back into the platform and just enter the new credentials. When it is done, you have to check the issue is solved or not.

  • Repair File Association Issues:

In case, there is a problem with the .ocsmeet (file association) files, then you will be unable to join Skype meeting. You should set the Business Online program as the default application just for opening the association files. For this, first you have to open Control Panel and then just select Default Programs. After this, you should find and click on Associate a file type or protocol with a program. Now you should find .ocsmeet and then you have to check if Business Online or Lync Online is configured as the default program. If it is not configured, you have to reconfigure the setting. At the end, you should close the program.

  • Join Skype Meeting via Web App:

For this, first you have to go to the location of the meeting invite link. Then you have to right-click on it and then copy the link’s address. After this, you have to launch your web browser and then you should paste the link in the address bar. You have to Type “?sl=1” which is at the back of the pasted URL address and press Enter key. Now you can join the Skype meeting.
