- Before you begin, do one of the following to start File Explorer:
- Press the Windows key and the E key at the same time.
- Go to the start menu and find File Explorer.
- Now you have to tap on the folder icon in the system tray.
- If you are using Windows 8 / 8.1, go to the right side of the screen and click Search. If you do this with the mouse, go to the top right side of the screen, move the mouse pointer down and tap on the Search option.
