Microsoft Release Windows 10 build 18351

Typically, Microsoft releases new Windows 10 Insider Preview assembles on Wednesdays, or later in the week, since the first two days of the week are reserved for testing.  But as we get closer to some feature upgrade being finalized, the Fast ring builds begin showing up more often through www.office.com/setup

As you would expect now, there are not any new front-facing features.  Microsoft is focusing on fixes, as Windows 10 variant 1903 will be finalized this month, to get a public release in April.

Here's everything got fixed and enhanced:

  • If you haven't managed to find the match State of Decay for free (for a limited period), we have only created more slots available! Whether you have tried it earlier builds or haven't had the opportunity however, these instructions have whatever you want.  We've also made fixes to improve the downloading and install experience because of your feedback, so please try again if you had problems before.
  • We fixed an issue from recent builds that could result in monitors being lost from the built-in Color Management application.
  • We fixed an issue causing Explorer.exe to wreck for a few Insiders when Jump record content was updated.
  • We fixed a problem resulting in some devices suddenly experiencing a 30 second wait until pin re-entry was accessible following a pin was wrongly entered on the lock display.
  • We fixed a problem where the time displayed on the clock at Windows Sandbox might not fit the clock outside of Windows Sandbox.
  • We fixed a problem resulting in Emoji 12 emoji displaying as boxes in some specific XAML text fields.
  • We fixed a problem where text scaling values didn't last across upgrades for Win32 applications.
  • Due to a Narrator reading reliability issue to its"Change how capitalized text is read" attribute, the feature was disabled beginning in construct 18351.
  • We fixed a problem where the mouse pointer color might be incorrectly switched to white after registering and signing back in.

Of course, there are still some known problems. Here's what's still broken:

  • Launching matches which use anti-cheat software may trigger a bug check (GSOD).
  • Creative X-Fi sound cards are not functioning properly. We're partnering with Creative to resolve this issue.
  • While this flight contains some night light improvements, we are continuing to explore reported issues in this area.
  • Some Realtek SD card readers are not functioning correctly. We are exploring the situation.
  • We're investigating reports of the Chinese variant of multiple games not working.
  • We're exploring a problem where area settings are being reset on update for a number of Insiders.
  • We're investigating a problem preventing VMware from having the ability to install or upgrade Windows Insider Preview builds. Hyper-V is a viable alternative if available for you.
  • If you install any of those current builds from the Fast ring and switch into the slow ring, optional content such as enabling developer mode will fail. You'll have to remain at the Fast ring to add/install/enable discretionary content.  This is because discretionary content will only install on assembles approved for specific rings.
