Method to Reinstall Audio Drivers in Window 10:

  1. Diagnose the Issue to Fix Audio Drivers Issue:

For this, first you should right-click on Windows key and then select Device Manager. Or you can press Windows key + R, and then type devmgmt.msc, and hit Enter. After this, you have to expand the Sound, video and game controllers. Now, you have to find the Realtek High Definition Audio. If in case, it comes with a yellow exclamation mark, then this means this is the culprit of the current sound problems on your computer system.

  1. Reinstall Realtek High Definition Audio Driver:

You have to press Windows key + R just to open Run dialog. Then, you have to type devmgmt.msc and then tap on Enter/OK button. Or you can right-click on Windows key and then select Device Manager. After this, you should expand the Sound, video and game controllers. Now, you should right-click on the Realtek High Definition Audio Driver and then select Uninstall option. If in case, it asks for a confirmation, then you should mark the box which is next to Delete the driver software for this device and then press OK. Here, you should reboot your PC.  At this point, you have to open Device Manager. Then, expand the Sound, video and game controllers again. Now, you should right-click on the Realtek High Definition Audio Driver and then click on Scan for hardware changes. If in case, the system fails to detect the missing driver and then it will install its latest version automatically. You just have to go to the official Realtek website and then download the latest version of the Audio Driver.

  1. Reinstall Audio Driver from Control Panel:

First, you should type Appwiz.cpl in the Start or in the taskbar search field and hit on Enter key just to open Programs and Features window. After this, you should find audio driver entry and then right-click on the audio driver and select Uninstall option. Now, you should choose Yes option to continue. At this point, you should Reboot your device when the driver is removed. At last, you will get the latest version of the audio driver and then install it on your PC. www.office.com/setup

  1. Solve the issue with the incorrect Intel audio driver:

You should go to Device manager and then open Sound, video an game controllers section. After this, you should look for Realtek device and then select it. Now in the View menu, you should select Devices by connection. Here, you should check the parent device and right-click on the controller device and then select Properties. In the new window, you should click on the Driver tab and then check your driver's version. If in case, your driver version is 9.21.0.3755,  then the driver which you have is incorrect. Now, you should click on Uninstall Device and then allow the changes. At this point, you should reboot the device and then check if the audio works.

  1. Update the Audio driver in Device Manage:

First, locate to Device manager. Then, you should expand the Sound, video and also game controllers section. Now, you should look for the device with SST as a part of the name. Then, right-click and just select Update Driver. If the new window appears, you should select Browse my computer for driver software. At this point, you should click on Next. Here, you should select High Definition Audio and then click on Next. Now, your audio driver will work perfectly.
